Event Information

When is the Swim?
The event is taking place Friday, Saturday, Sunday, April 3, 4, 5, 2009 at more than 60 indoor pool locations throughout Northeast Ohio.

What is this event about?
The Verizon Wireless Swim for Diabetes, now in its 24th year, is the major fundraiser for the Diabetes Association of Greater Cleveland (a local, independent organization, not affiliated with the American Diabetes Association or Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation). Participants may participate as an individual or a team and collect pledges per length or flat donations to support their participation in the event.

We encourage you to register online so you can get a head start on your fundraising.

Every dollar you raise stays right here in Northeast Ohio to support prevention and risk assessment, diabetes education, local medical research, and Camp Ho Mita Koda for children with diabetes.

  3. Swim!
You can swim laps, do water aerobics, walk in the water, or just stay dry!
